Reimagining Welcoming Cities
Reimagining welcoming cities: Cultivating cross-sectoral partnerships to address the wellbeing of temporary and precarious status (TAPS) migrants

This project brings together interdisciplinary researchers and cross-sectoral stakeholders with investment in TAPS migrants’ wellbeing to identify gaps and opportunities existing in urban systems and structures that shape health and wellbeing. The project focuses on Kitchener- Waterloo and Peel Regions of Ontario, Canada. Together, we will answer the following research question: What systems and structures within cities are necessary to support welcomingness for TAPS migrants? Our forward-looking goal is to build partnerships with and among key service providers that have the capacity and influence to propel any resulting innovations and recommendations for improving TAPS migrants’ wellbeing.
